The theme of the swap at my most recent downline meeting was Wedding/Bridal/Baby Shower favors.  These were two of the entries by my direct recruits.  Aren't they talented?

I CASEd a card and ribbon flower technique from fellow demonstrator Jenni Ingerick.  Thanks for the inspiration Jenni!!

Vintage Vogue, Sincere Salutations and All Holidays stamp sets; Naturals Ivory, Always Artichoke and Pumpkin Pie Cardstocks; Always Artichoke and So Saffron inkpads; Top Note Die; Pumpkin Pie 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon; Linen thread; 5/16" Neutrals Jumbo brads; Sponge Dauber.

Cut a 6" piece of the ribbon, fold in 1/2 lengthwise and put a running stitch very close along the folded edge using the linen thread.  Snip the ribbon at 1/8-1/4" intervals along the non-stitched edge (see example on bottom right of photo).  Pull the ends of the thread so the ribbon gathers into a "flower" shape and tie a knot.  Shape the flower as desired and add a brad in the middle. Note: you can run the thread along the non folded edge and then cut the folded edge for the look on the right.

This cute baby shower party favor was made by my downline-Erica Alvarado!  She won the 3-D contest at my most recent downline meeting with this entry.

A new class project using the Top Note die.  Attendees will learn how to make the 5 quilt cards with matching envelopes and a box to put them in using 2 sheets of DSP.
