About Me
I was born in Okinawa, Japan but moved to Orange County, California when I was 5 years old so consider myself a native Californian. I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Political Science (nothing creative about that-go figure) and have been married for 25 years to a very supportive (and creatively as well as technically blessed) husband. He is a professional photographer-check out his website and blog at www.jonhaverstickstudio.com. We have a daughter who is a Super Senior in college (just finished up her first major in Japanese language and is working on her send major in Fine Arts-Illustration) as well as a son who is now a soldier in the U.S. Army.
I have always enjoyed all sorts of crafting (papercrafts, sewing, knitting crocheting etc…) but got hooked on stamping in the early 90's while I was a stay-at-home mom. I joined Stampin' Up! as demonstrator initially as a way to get out of the house to be with adults (do you know what I mean?) and earn some extra money (to buy more stamps of course!). I been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator since 1996 and love to share what can be made with their products through monthly classes in my home.
While I now work full-time outside the home, helping my customers learn how to develop their creative abilities through my Stampin' Up! business is still one of my passions. My husband and I have been on 2 cruises and a trip to Hawaii that I have earned through my Stampin' Up! business. I never thought I'd be at it this long but I love it!!
