Easel Card

easter easel card

An Easel card based on a card found on the SU! demonstrator only website.  The instructions for the Easel card can be found on Splitcoaststampers under resources.

Old Olive cardstock and inkpad, So Saffron cardstock; Sweet Pea DSP; Beautiful Wings embosslit; Eyelet border and 1-3/8" circle punches; Crimper; Summer Sun Corduroy button; Well Scripted stamp set.

To make the flower:  Cut two 1" x 11" strips of cardstock and use the eyelet border punch along one edge of each piece.  Put the strips through the crimper twice.  Place sticky strip all over a circular piece of cardstock (I used the 1-3/8" punch).  Starting at the outer edge of the circle, slowly place one crimped piece around the circle, pinching in along the bottom edge of the strip and work your away around and inwards.  When you run out of paper add the other strip until you reach the center and cut off the extra.  Punch a hole in the center and add the brad.  Voila-you're done!

To make the leaves:  Cut a circle out of cardstock using the 1-3/8" circle punch.  Place the circle piece back into the punch about 1/2 way and punch again.  Fold the "leaf" in 1/2 lengthwise and send through the crimper.

Daisy Card

daisy

I've revamped a card from one of my classes last year using current colors and DSP…

Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence and Old Olive Cardstock; Cottage Wall DSP; Daisies #2 Bigz die, Little Leaves Sizzlet and Perfect Polka Dots Impressions die; Build-A-Brad; White rub-on for the sentiment (retired).

Diaper Cake

diaper cake

Sorry I haven't been posting the last few days…hope to get more posts up later this week.  In the meantime I thought I'd share a Diaper Cake I made for a baby shower last year.

The DSP I used is now retired but you can use any of our current papers to do the same thing.  I also used our Eyelet Border punch and Serif Essentials Alphabet and Beautiful Butterflies Bigz dies.  It's hard to tell in the picture but I also used Dazzling Diamonds glitter to make the butterflies sparkle.

Manhattan Flower Impresssions folder

manhattan flower impressions folder

These are card ideas are also from Patty Bennett.  They were featured in a couple of my classes last year when this new Manhattan Flower impressions folder (p195, #114517) was introduced.

Left: Oval All stamp set; Summer Sun, Regal Rose and Rose Red inkpads; Regal Rose cardstock; Shimmery White cardstock; Brayer; Manhattan Flower impressions folder; Large Oval and Scallop Oval punches.  The colors were brayered one color at a time on the back of the impressed image and then cut out.

Right: Oval All stamp set; Regal Rose inkpad and cardstock; Vellum cardstock; Manhattan Flower impressions folder; Large Oval and Scallop Oval punches.  Whisper White Organza ribbon.

Flower Fancy Printed Vellum Window Sheets

printed window sheet

I think I got this idea from Patty Bennet.

These cards use our printed window sheets found in the current Idea Book & Catalog (page 169, #115705).

Oval All Stamp set; Rich Razzleberry cardstock, inpad and ribbon;  Cottage Wall DSP/ Flower Fancy printed window sheets; Large Oval and Scallop Oval punches; Circle Ice Rhinestone brads.

It may be hard to tell but the window sheet was layered on top of the Cottage Wall DSP.

Thoughts & Prayers

thoughts & prayers

This card is based on one made by my friend Bev.

Thoughts & Prayers stamp set; Old Olive inkpad, marker and grosgrain ribbon, Rich Razzleberry inkpad, marker and cardstock; Old Olive DSP; Eyelet Border Punch.

For All You Do…

convention swap

This was my entry for an over the top swap at convention last year.

For All You Do stamp set; Rich Razzleberry inkpad and cardstock, Old Olive inkpad, Crushed Curry cardstock and Ribbon; Razzleberry Lemonaid DSP, Cardstock Vellum;  Blossom Party Originals die, Perfect Details Texturz plate; Chocolate Chip corduroy button.

I diecut two flowers and then trimmed away some of the petals.  I then stacked the remaining petals to give the flower dimension.
